Please read through and follow these guidelines prior to picking up your scooter or wheelchair:

• Equipment can be picked up at the Salt Palace Guest Services office, which is located on the first floor across from Hall A. If you need directions, you can call Guest Services at 385-468-2222
• Be aware of the weight limit of your equipment. If the weight limit is exceeded on scooters, the battery will drain quickly.
• Take time to charge your scooter while you are not using it or if the battery indicator is low.
• To prevent theft, when you are not riding the scooter, remove the key and keep it with you.
• Do not hang heavy items on the wheelchair handles. This may cause the wheelchair to tip over.
• Try to stay on flat, smooth surfaces whenever possible. Uneven terrain can be unsafe, and hills will drain scooter batteries quickly.
• Do not operate your scooter or wheelchair on public streets that are intended for automobiles. Scooters are intended for use on sidewalks and pedestrian pathways.

Scooters and wheelchairs are intended for use within the Salt Palace Convention Center. We recommend using alternate transportation when leaving the building, such as shuttles, buses, trains, or taxis. However, you may take the equipment off the property at your own discretion and understand that you accept responsibility for any damages that may occur during that time as well as ensuring the return of the equipment to the guest services center at the end of your event.
